The Paracas Huacachina Full Day Tour from Lima combines the coast and the desert in a single day: sea lions and seabirds at the Ballestas Islands, a tasting at an Ica wine and pisco winery, and the dunes of the Huacachina oasis by dune buggy and sandboard.
History and importance of Paracas and Huacachina
The Paracas National Reserve is one of the richest marine sanctuaries in South America, nicknamed “the Peruvian Galápagos” for its biodiversity: sea lions, Humboldt penguins and guano birds. Ica is the land of pisco and Peruvian wine, with wineries that have kept the winemaking tradition alive since colonial times. Huacachina is one of the few natural desert lagoons of its kind on the continent, surrounded by giant dunes perfect for sandboarding and dune buggy rides. Three landscapes that show that Kawsay is also lived by the sea and in the desert.
Altitude: Paracas is at sea level and Huacachina (Ica) at about 400 m (1,310 ft). There are no altitude effects. It is a long day on the road (about 4 hours each way from Lima), which is why pickup starts before dawn.
Prices per person: US$ 52 with a meeting point and US$ 68 with pickup and drop-off at your hotel in San Isidro, Miraflores or Barranco. If you are staying outside that area, ask us about pickup on WhatsApp.
Itinerary

- 03:40 – 04:40 — Pickup: from 3:40 a.m. depending on the meeting point or hotel and the pickup order (exact times are shown when you choose your pickup option).
- 05:00 — Drive to Paracas (approx. 3.5 to 4 hours).
- 09:30 — Arrival in Paracas and boat trip to the Ballestas Islands.
- 11:00 — Visit to Paracas beach and bay.
- 12:00 — Transfer to Ica (approx. 1 hour).
- 13:00 — Free lunch in Ica (not included).
- 14:00 — Visit to a wine and pisco winery with tasting: sample their products and buy them right there if you like.
- 15:00 — Huacachina oasis: dune buggy ride and sandboarding.
- 17:00 — Return to Lima (approx. 4 hours).
- 21:00 — Approximate arrival in Lima and end of services.
